Djibouti honors 2 Chinese medical mission member

Xinhua, May 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

Djibouti's Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed on Wednesday decorated two members of a Chinese medical mission to Djibouti, an official source has said.

Wang Zhenri, an acupuncture specialist and head of a Chinese medical team, was honored as an Officer of National Order, while Madam Jia Meijun, the medical team's interpreter, was decorated with the Knight of the National Order.

Since 2013, Wang has been working at the Chinese ward within Peltier General hospital, Djibouti's biggest hospital, which receives at least 40 patients per day.

He had previously worked in Djibouti between 2009 to 2011.

Medical cooperation between China and Djibouti began over 34 years ago. Endi
