Xinhua, May 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

Torrential rains will pound southern China while thunderstorms and hails will hit the nation's central regions starting on Thursday, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) has forecast.

The observatory said rain storms will hit parts of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guizhou Province, as well as areas south of the Yangtze River starting on Thursday.

Strong winds, lightening and hail storms will hit central regions including Henan and Hubei provinces as well as the eastern provinces of Shandong, Jiangsu and Anhui, it forecast.

This round of heavy rains is expected to last till Friday, it said.

The center added that the earthquake-hit areas in Tibet that borders Nepal will expect occasional snows and rains over the next three days. Endi
