French stock market index down 2.12 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a large decrease of 2.12 percent at 4,974.07 points on Tuesday, down 107.9 points.

Affected by the negative American trade deficit and the uncertainty in Greece, the CAC 40 closed lower on Tuesday with 38 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

The only two companies that gained most on Tuesday were Technip, up 2.30 percent, and ArcelorMittal, up 0.25 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Tuesday were Orange, down 4.66 percent, Veolia Environnement, down 3.55 percent, and Unibail-Rodamco, down 3.49 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 0.70 percent at 5,081.97 points, up 35.48 points. Endit
