Former cargo port executive under criminal investigation for graft

Prosecutors in east China's Zhejiang Province opened an investigation into Xu Huajiang, former president of Ningbo Port Co.Ltd, for allegedly taking bribes, said the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) Tuesday.

Xu has been placed under compulsory measures, according to the SPP, though it did not specify which measures had been taken.

Such measures generally include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest.

Ningbo Port Co. Ltd runs the harbor of Ningbo, one of China's busiest deepwater ports. Endi
