The China Pavilion is one of the most exciting ones at Expo Milano 2015, Expo Sole Commissioner of the Italian Government Giuseppe Sala told Xinhua on Saturday.
"The Chinese pavilion in my opinion is one of the most exciting, internally and also for the architecture. The design is fantastic," Sala said, describing the China pavilion.
China was able to fully interpret the leading theme of the Italian exposition, "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life," dedicated to sustainable and healthy nutrition for everybody in the world, he noted.
"Then of course young people prefer to have a visit based on a strong technologic basis, and the China pavilion also gave a beautiful interpretation of technology," Sala pointed out.
In his view, the experience learnt at Expo Shanghai 2010 was also fundamental to pave the way for China's pavilion success at Expo Milano 2015.
"At the end of our exposition there will be some prizes given to different pavilions for their characteristics and I guess that the China pavilion could get some prizes," Sala told Xinhua.
China pavilion, the country's first self-built overseas Expo pavilion and also the second largest foreign one next to Germany's at Expo Milano 2015, opened to the public on Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Chinese and Italian guests.
Themed "Land of Hope, Food for Life" and rippling-wheat-shaped, China pavilion exhibits the Asian country's agricultural history, food culture and its future expectation to the world. The "Field of Hope" consists of some 20,000 shining artificial wheat straws.
The China Pavilion covers an area of 4,590 square meters. The other two Chinese exhibitors at the Expo, namely the China Corporate United Pavilion and Vanke Pavilion, cover 1,200 square meters and 900 square meters respectively, making China the country with the largest exhibition scale.
The Expo Milano 2015 hosts more than 140 countries and organizations, of which a record number of 54 have self-built pavilions. The world exposition, whose site extends over an area of about one million square meters located northwest of Milan, will last till Oct. 31. Endit
