Evergrande smashes Greenland 3-0 to retake top place of CSL

Guangzhou Evergrande defeated Shanghai Greenland 3-0 and reached the top position of the Chinese Super League standings on Friday night, while Beijing Guoan beat Shijiazhuang Ever Bright 3-1 on home soil.

Gao Lin broke the deadlock for Guangzhou in the 4th minute, receiving the free kick from Huang Bowen and his half-volley shot found the right bottom of the net.

Ricardo Goulart enlarged the score to 2-0 in the 10th minute, his powerful long shot was going out of Goalkeeper' s reach after bouncing fullback Li Jianbing' s back.

Captain Zheng Zhi's lobbing shot locked the victory for Evergrande in the 24th minute, though Shanghai Greenland keeper had warded off an assault few seconds before the goal.

At the Beijing Workers' Stadium, although Newly-promoted Shijiazhuang had equalized the score to 1-1 in the 34th minute, Beijing edged them in the second half.

In the 63rd minute, Pablo Batalla intercepted around the penalty area and his long shot help Guoan set the pace in the match.

Former Chinese international Shao Jiayi made a banana shot 13 minutes later, which brought Guoan reach the 3rd place of CSL temporarily.
