Slovak FinMin Kazimir to head economy ministry as well

Xinhua, May 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Slovak Finance Minister Peter Kazimir will be commissioned to head the Economy Ministry as well following the resignation of Pavol Pavlis, announced the Slovak President's Office on Thursday.

"President Andrej Kiska will receive the resignation of Economy Minister Pavol Pavlis on Wednesday (May 6), and he will subsequently commission Deputy Premier and Finance Minister Peter Kazimir to head the ministry," confirmed Kiska's press office head Roman Krpelan.

Pavlis announced on April 21 that he would resign following media reports that his brother-in-law's company received commissions for cleaning services at organisations coming under the Economy Ministry. Pavlis was minister for less than one year. Endit
