Singapore stocks close almost flat

Singapore stocks finished slightly higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.24 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 3,487.39.

A total of 1.38 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 47 billion Singapore dollars (1.11 billion U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 223 to 200, while 508 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 7.94 points, or 0.23 percent, to close at 3, 487.15 on Wednesday. Endi
