Australians struggling to pay the rent

Australia may be a wealthy nation but people are increasingly finding it hard to pay rent to their landlords.

Church group Anglicare Australia released figures on Thursday indicating low-income earners were finding it increasingly difficult to pay rent for homes.

Australia is increasingly experiencing a skyrocketing property boom which is making the rental market, traditionally controlled by smaller investors, more difficult to enter.

The organization's annual Rental Affordability Snapshot released on Thursday showed a severe shortage of affordable rental housing with low income Australians being affected the most. Endi
