Urgent: U.S. dollar declines amid Fed meeting, soft data

The U.S. dollar decreased against other major currencies on Tuesday as the Federal Reserve started its monetary policy meeting and economic data from the country came out negative.

In late New York trading, the euro climbed to 1.0979 dollars from 1.0890 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 118.87 Japanese yen, lower than 119.08 yen of the previous session. Endite
