Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with a visiting delegation of the Congolese Party of Labour (CPL) in Beijing on Monday.

Li said political trust has deepened and cooperation has expanded since China and Congo established diplomatic relations in 1964.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) has placed great importance on developing ties with the CPL and would like to increase exchanges between high-ranking officials and share experience on state governance to boost the growth of their comprehensive partnership, Li said.

Secretary General of the CPL Pierre Ngolo, who is leading the delegation, underscored the party's commitment to developing ties with the CPC and pledged to work more closely with the CPC to implement the presidents' agreements, enhance cooperation and seek bilateral and inter-party relations. Endi
