Watford promoted to English Premier League

Xinhua, April 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

Watford have been promoted to the Premier League as Middlesbrough and Norwich suffered late blows to their hopes of top-two finishes.

The Hornets maintained top spot and moved four points clear with a 2-0 victory at Brighton in the early kick-off, before seeing Norwich held to a 1-1 draw at Rotherham, while Boro lost 4-3 at Fulham.

Second placed Bournemouth can also secure promotion when they host Bolton on Monday night due to their vastly superior goal difference to Middlesbrough, with a victory sending them three points clear.

It was Watford's fifth successive victory thanks to goals from Troy Deeney and Matej Vydra. Endi
