Barcelona's Handmade Festival opens its doors

Xinhua, April 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Handmade Festival Fair opened its doors here on Friday showcasing new trends of the so-called "do-it-yourself" (DIY) world.

The Handmade Festival focuses on Japanese culture this year, and will feature how to make origami (paper-made figures), kokeshi (Japanese dolls made from wood), practice shodo (Japanese calligraphy) and cook sushi or bento.

Organizers scheduled several workshops and more than 250 activities on different issues: decorating, crochet work, painting and sewing, apart from an exhibition on sewing machines. There are also areas dedicated to weddings, children and gardening. Endit
