Indonesian president says Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank boosts infrastructure funding

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said Thursday that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank could help ensure financial availability for infrastructure development.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Asian-African Summit, Joko said that leaders and delegates at the two-day summit worked hard on matters including "ensuring the financial availability for infrastructure development, among others through the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank."

The Asian-African Summit 2015, held on April 22-23, concluded here on Thursday.

President Joko of the host nation added that participants to the summit also addressed issues including strengthening and advancing a more peaceful and fair world order, working towards the achievement of mutually-beneficial cooperation, bridging development gaps, and realizing the independence of Palestine.
