Urgent: U.S. stocks rally on upbeat data

U.S. stocks posted sizable gains Wednesday, with the Nasdaq Composite Index closing at 5,035.17 points, the highest level since its March 2000 peak, as economic data came in positive.

Both the Dow and the S&P 500 rose 0.5 percent, while the Nasdaq added 0.4 percent. Endite
