Seoul shares ended almost unchanged on Wednesday with the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index inching down 0.9 points, or 0.04 percent, to 2,143.89 at the close.
Trading volume stood at 762.35 million shares worth 8.39 trillion won (7.77 billion U.S. dollars).

VIENTIANE -- The Lao stock market finished lower on Wednesday with the Lao Securities Exchange composite index decreasing by 3. 64 percent or 55.34 points to 1,466.36.
A total of 48,266 shares worth about 350 million Lao kip (about 43,000 U.S. dollars) changed hands.

SYDNEY -- Australian stocks were significantly down on Tuesday as the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index had lost 34.2 points, or 0.56 percent, to 5837.5, while the broader All Ordinaries index slipped 31.2 points, or 0.53 percent, to 5812.8.

BEIJING -- Chinese shares ended higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.44 percent, or 104.87 points, to finish at 4,398.49 points.

MUMBAI, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Indian stocks ended with handsome gains on Wednesday with major support by banks and capital goods stocks.
The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 27,890.13, 214.09 points or 0.77 percent up from previous close of 27,676.04. Endi
