China's concrete efforts in Asian-African cooperation constructive: Iraqi official

China's concrete efforts in Asian- African cooperation are constructive for peace, stability and prosperity of all Asian and African countries, an Iraqi senior official said here Wednesday.

The pragmatic efforts of China are very constructive and "We hope more participation of China in the world, especially in our region", Jawad Al-Chlaihawi, head of Iraqi Delegation told Xinhua on the sidelines of the Asian-African Summit.

Jawad said that Iraq and China have very close cooperation in educational sector, especially in learning Chinese language, and China has made remarkable contribution to Iraq in the fields of economy and medical treatment.

"We hope for more participation of Chinese companies in Iraq which benefits Iraqi economy," he said.

He also spoke highly of the China-proposed Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, terming it a very good idea.

"This bank is a elevation of world finance. I hope, with this bank, we have more cooperation," he said, adding "We considered this creation is very important for the complimentary for financial system."

The Asian-African summit opened here Wednesday with the aim of carrying on the Bandung Spirit and promoting common development of the two vibrant continents. Endi
