Israeli plane makes successful emergency landing

Xinhua, April 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

An Israeli El Al flight on Tuesday successfully made an emergency landing at Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv due to a faulty wheel, shortly after taking off to Prague.

All 181 passengers and crew were safe, said a spokesperson for the Israel Airports Authority.

Shortly after the flight Boeing 737-800 took off, tire shreds were found on the runway and a state of emergency was declared at the Ben Gurion Airport, said the Airports Authority.

A spokesperson for El Al, an Israel's flagship carrier, said the plane will depart to Prague after replacing the wheel. Endit
