Czech team leads 2-0 in Fed Cup semis

In the first day's Fed Cup tennis semifinal in Ostrava, the Czech team led 2-0 over France with two singles wins on Saturday.

Lucie Safarova, ranked 13th in the world, rallied to beat Caroline Garcia 4-6, 7-6 (7-1), 6-1, while world No. 4 Petra Kvitova saw off Kristina Mladenovic 6-3, 6-4.
