Changchun Yatai beat Shanghai Shenxin 4-1 to gain its first victory in the season, while Shenxin lost its 6th straight game in the Chinese Super League's sixth round on Saturday.
Szabolcs Huszti's well-curved shot broke the ice for Yatai in the 59th minute. Shenxin, the tailender in standings wanted to level by all out attack, but Yatai's counterattack posed more threats on Shenxin.
In the 66th minute, Marcelo Moreno drove from close range after receiving a corner kick. Eight minutes later, Huszti put the game beyond Shenxin's reach.
Though Daniel Chukwu Chima's header saved the face of the home team, Du Zhenyu locked the score to 4-1 before the final whistle. Then it was the first win for Changchun after its 3 straight draws before.
In Guangzhou Yuexiushan stadium, Guangzhou R&F was forced to a 0-0 draw with Shijiazhuang Ever Bright. The visitors took an early upper hand in the game, Mao Jianqing almost netted home in the 8th minute.
Guangzhou R&F hardly created any chance except Abderrazak Hamdallah, who controlled the ball well in opponents' penalty area with some nice skill, but his shot went wide.
R&F adjusted its tactics in the second half, their tackles were enhanced and their sidebacks started to attack fiercely. But when facing Ever Bright with great determation, R&F ceded in advance any hope of a victory, and the hosts seemed to spare some energy for the key match in the AFC Champions League next week.
