Urgent: California gas pipeline explosion injures 14

At least 14 people were injured in a gas pipeline explosion in central California, the United States, on Friday.

The explosion happened at around 2:30 p.m. local time (2130 GMT) in the Fresno County Sheriff's gun range, where a work crew including county jail inmates using heavy equipment hit a pipe carrying natural gas, local media quoted Tony Botti, a spokesman for the Fresno County Sheriff's Office, as saying.
