Hoffenheim and head coach Markus Gisdol agreed on a two-year contract extension ahead of schedule, the "TSG" confirmed on the club's official homepage on Thursday.

The 49-year-old coach, who took the helm in April 2013, inked a contract extension until June 2018.

"We are delighted with the reached agreement. The club wants to continue the successful collaboration with Markus Gisdol on a long term basis," Hoffenheim's CEO Peter Rettig said.

Since his arrival in April 2013 he reaped from 69 Bundesliga games 24 wins and 20 draws.

"With the contract extension we can now focus on our personnel planning. We have the ambitious foul to establish the "TSG" in one of the strongest leagues in the world," Gisdol said.
