Xinhua, April 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

Two vessels of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) on Thursday arrived at Tien Sa Port in central Vietnam's Da Nang city for a four-day visit.

The JS Kirisame and JS Asayuki destroyers of the JMSDF docked at the Tien Sa port with over 500 crew members and officers onboard led by Colonel Sugimoto Masaharu, commander of the JMSDF' s frigate fleet No. 12, reported Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA.

During the visit to Da Nang, some 600 km south of capital Hanoi, the Japanese side is scheduled to meet officials of the Da Nang Provincial People's Committee, the High Command of the Military Zone 5 and the High Command of the Naval Region 3.

They will also exchange experience in communication training and participate in sports activities with officers and soldiers of Vietnam's Naval Region 3, according to the report. Endi
