WWI British soldiers reburied in Belgium

Xinhua, April 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

The remains of six British soldiers who were killed during World War I were reburied near the Belgian town of Ypres with full military honours on Thursday.

The remains of the men were discovered in 2008 and 2010 in a field in Comines-Warneton, south of Ypres.

According to the UK's Ministry of Defence, the men were killed in battle in October 1914. It is believed that they were given burial services at the time.

They were re-interred on Thursday at a funeral service at Prowse Point Military Cemetery, located in the Ypres Salient, which contains the graves of 225 British and Commonwealth soldiers killed during World War I. Enditem
