Chinese stocks close higher Thursday

Chinese stocks ended higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.71 percent, or 110.66 points, to finish at 4,194.82 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 2.35 percent, or 321.19 points, to close at 13,967.8 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, rose 1.74 percent, or 42.59 points, to end at 2,484.33 points. Endi
