The European Commission on Wednesday said it approved the disbursement of 100 million euros (106.01 million U.S. dollars) in the form of loans to Tunisia on behalf of the European Union (EU).

DHAKA -- At least 10 people were killed in a house collapse in Bangladesh capital Dhaka on Wednesday, fire service officials confirmed.

MOMBASA, Kenya -- Kenyan authorities announced Wednesday that at least 49 radicalized youth are expected to surrender after the government issued 10-day amnesty to those who joined Al-Shabaab militants to surrender.

DJIBOUTI -- A humanitarian corridor to take aid to Yemen via Djibouti was opened on Tuesday by Djibouti's President Ismail Omar Guelleh in the presence of Yemeni Foreign Minister Riyadh Yassin, an official source has said.

KHARTOUM -- Sudan's National Elections Commission (NEC) on Wednesday decided to extend the polling in general elections for one more day nationwide to end on Thursday.
