Gunmen attacked South Korea's embassy in Libya on Sunday, killing at least one guard, Seoul's foreign ministry said.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN -- The royal wedding of Brunei's Prince Abdul Malik was launched at Istana Nurul Iman (the Palace) on Sunday.

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines -- Two people were killed and another injured in a knife attack on Saturday onboard a Chinese transport ship off the waters of Sulu, Philippines, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Sunday.

The PCG said they learned of the incident when the captain of the ship sought for an emergency docking off southern Philippine city of Zamboanga early Sunday morning to help the wounded crew member. (Philippines-Chinese Ship-Knife Attack)

TOKYO -- The governors of Japan's Hokkaido and Oita prefectures, both backed by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's ruling bloc, beat their opponents backed by the opposition Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) in Sunday's gubernatorial elections, local media reported late Sunday.
