Seven injured by fallen billboard in Beijing

Seven tourists were injured by a large outdoor billboard which fell amid strong winds in a park in downtown Beijing.

The billboard fell around 2:40 p.m. Sunday outside a gate of the Yuyuantan Park, due to a sudden gale, said a park source.

The injured were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Most of them suffered head injuries, which, fortunately, were not life-threatening.

The park is hosting an annual cherry blossom festival, attracting a large number of tourists. Endi
