1st LD-Writethru: Some 100 pupils poisoned in W. Afghanistan

Around 100 pupils of a school in the western Herat province with Herat city as its capital 640 km west of Kabul mysteriously got poisoned on Saturday, police said.

"Around 100 students of Al-Fatah school were mysteriously poisoned and so far 81 of them have been taken to hospitals for medical treatment," provincial police chief Abdul Majid Rozi told reporters here.

Without giving more details, the official said that investigation has been initiated into the case. Endi
