French stock market index up 0.60 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40, supported by the European Central Bank's purchase program of sovereign debts, closed with an advance of 0.60 percent at 5,240.46 points on Friday, up 31.51 points.

Friday's top three gainers were Alcatel-Lucent, up 4.82 percent, Technip, up 2.15 percent, and Carrefour, up 2.04 percent.

The three companies that lost most on Friday were Saint Gobain, down 2.42 percent, Kering, down 1.56 percent, and Lafarge, down 1.19 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 1.40 percent at 5,208.95 points, up 72.09 points. Endit
