11 killed in road accident in E. India

Xinhua, April 10, 2015 Adjust font size:

Eleven people were killed and at least 30 injured after a bus they were traveling in over-turned on Friday in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal, said police.

The incident took place in the state's Burdwan district, when the driver lost control over the bus carrying over 70 passengers.

Over-speeding was the cause of the incident, said police.

Road accidents take place frequently in India due to reckless driving, bad road conditions and lack of enough security surveillance. Endi
