Hamilton fastest in F1 Shanghai GP 1st practice

World champion Lewis Hamilton set the pace in the first practice of F1 Chinese Grand Prix Friday ahead of his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg.

Hamilton's best lap of 1 minute 39.033 seconds was over half a second

quicker than Rosberg.

The Mercedes demonstrated their dominant power over rivals Ferrari, with

Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen both trailing over a secondhbehind.

Vettel came in at 1 minute 40.157 seconds, some 1.124 seconds slower

than Hamilton, followed by Raikkonen who clocked the fourth-fastest

time.

Felipe Nasr for Sauber come in fifth, and the Red Bull duo of Daniel

Riccardo and Daniil Kvyat were sixth and seventh fastest, some 2

seconds behind Hamilton's pace. Endi
