Gambia issues arrest warrant for those involved in State House attacks

Gambia has issued an arrest warrant for nine people who were allegedly involved an attack on state house in a attempt to overthrow President Yahya Jammeh, said an official release on Thursday.

The arrest warrant was issued by the High Court presided over by Justice Abi in Banjul. The persons who are accused of staging military attack on state house on Dec. 30, 2014 are Cherno Njie, Mustapha Faal, Alhajie Saidy Barrow, Papa Faal, Baboucarr Bai Lowe, Musa Sarr, Landing Sonko, Lamin Njie and Aisha Jallow.

They were indicted on eight counts ranging from treason, concealment of treason, offences related to mutiny, mutiny, and aiding and abetting mutiny. Endi
