Singapore stocks close slightly lower

Singapore stocks finished slightly lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.38 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 3,460.30.

A total of 3.04 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 36 billion Singapore dollars (1.01 billion U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 272 to 178, while 486 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 4.94 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 3, 460.68 on Wednesday. Endi
