Deportivo fires coach Fernandez

Deportivo La Coruna fired coach Victor Fernandez as the club is struggling on the brink of the Spanish La Liga's relegation zone.

The club announced Fernandez's sacking on Wednesday following a 1-1 draw at home with bottom-side Cordoba, leaving it winless in eight consecutive rounds.
