Singapore stocks close 0.14 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 4. 94 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 3,460.68.

A total of 1.99 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 13 billion Singapore dollars (833.3 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 248 to 187, while 498 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 12.71 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 3,465.62 on Tuesday. Endi
