Atletico Madrid beats Real Sociedad 2-0 in La Liga

Atletico Madrid beat Real Sociedad 2-0 with both goals being created by Jorge Koke in the Spanish La Liga on Tuesday.

Koke's corner kick aimed at Fernando Torres was headed into his own net by Sociedad's Mikel Gonzalez in the second minute.

Eight minutes later, Antoine Griezmann scored his 16th goal this season when he pounced on goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli's attempt to parry Koke's shot from the edge of the area.

Sevilla won 2-1 at Levante and Eibar beat Malaga 1-0.

Sevilla's France forward Kevin Gameiro scored his sixth goal of the season in the 10th minute from a well-timed assist by former Arsenal winger Jose Antonio Reyes.

Reyes doubled Sevilla's lead in the 37th after being skillfully picked out while running forward on the right flank by Gameiro's beautifully-weighted cross.

Nigeria forward Kalu Uche pulled one back for Levante, scoring his fourth goal of the season when his header bounced in off the near post in the 73rd minute.

Eibar left-winger Javier Lara floated over a corner kick that Mikel Arruabarrena headed past Malaga goalkeeper Idriss Kameni in the 53rd minute.

Atletico are third in the standings on 65 points behind league leaders Barcelona on 71 and Real Madrid on 67. Sevilla are fifth on 61 points. Endi
