Tokyo stocks rise 0.42 pct in morning after Wall St. gains

Tokyo stocks rose 0.42 percent in the morning session of Friday, tracking overnight gains on Wall Street.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 81.30 points from Thursday to 19,394.09. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 4.46 points, or 0. 29 percent, to 1,558.63.
