Real Madrid confirm Danilo signing

Xinhua, April 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Real Madrid announced on Wednesday that the club had reached agreement with Porto to sign the Portuguese club's defender Danilo for a price of 31.5 million euros (35 million US dollars).

Both clubs issued a statement on their respective websites at one minute past midnight to confirm that the Brazilian international has agreed a six year deal with the Spanish side and will incorporate into the club's discipline this summer.

The 23-year-old has been a target for Real Madrid and several other major European clubs for the past few months and will provide stiff competition for Spain international Dani Carvajal who is currently first choice right back at the club.

Meanwhile his arrival almost certainly means that Alvaro Arbeloa will leave Real Madrid at the end of the current campaign. Endit
