French stock market index down 0.98 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 decreased by 0.98 percent, or 49.88 points, to close at 5,033.64 points on Tuesday.

Only three of the 40 selected companies on the CAC 40 advanced.

The three gainers were Vivendi, which went up by 0.11 percent, Safran, up 0.06 percent, and Scheider Electric, up 0.01 percent.

The three companies that lost most on Tuesday were Valeo, down 2.86 percent, Capgemini, down 2.24 percent, and Unibail-Rodamco, down 2.01 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 went up by 49.46 points to close at 5,083.52 points. Enditem
