Nigerian opposition leads in presidential election

Nigeria's main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) is leading in the 2015 presidential election, according to results so far released by the electoral body.

After the declaration of results from 36 states including capital Abuja, APC candidate Muhammadu Buhari has polled a total of 14,953,378 votes, while incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recorded 12,827,522 votes.
