Singapore stocks close 0.21 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 7.25 points, or 0.21 percent, to close at 3,447.01.

A total of 1.36 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 39 billion Singapore dollars (1.01 billion U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 240 to 205, while 488 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 4.16 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 3,454.26 on Monday. Endi
