Russian FM to rejoin Iran nuclear talks

Xinhua, March 31, 2015 Adjust font size:

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday that he plans to go back to the Swiss city of Lausanne later in the day to rejoin the talks between Iran and international brokers over Tehran's controversial nuclear program.

Meanwhile, the minister also gave the signal that the current round of negotiations would be successful.

"Chances are high, but we can never be 100 percent certain about anything. The chances are realistic if no one is about to raise stakes," Lavrov said at a press conference here.

"Prospects of the ongoing negotiations are good," he added.

Lavrov returned to Moscow late Monday after attending the Iranian nuclear talks in Lausanne between Iran and the P5+1 group, namely the United States, China, Russia, France and Britain plus Germany. Endi
