Former German international Steffi Jones is going to replace Silvia Neid as the head coach of German women's national team, according to German football federation DFB on Monday.

The 42-year-old Jones was a member of the Germany women's team which claimed the World Cup title in 2003. She played 111 matches as an international and collected three European titles and two Olympic Bronzes.

"The new structure means that we're ready for the future," said DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach.

Neid's contract expires in 2016. Endi
