Malaysian stock market closes higher

The Malaysian stock market ended higher here on Monday.

The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) was at 1,821.83 up 8.46 points or 0.46 percent, and the Emas was at 12,503.08 up 44.43 points or 0.36 percent.

There were 399 gainers, 383 losers and 340 counters traded unchanged.

Turnover increased to 1.92 billion shares valued at 1.71 billion ringgit Malaysia (460.54 million U.S. dollars), compared with 1.64 billion shares valued at 1.82 billion ringgit Malaysia ( 493.63 million U.S. dollars) on last Friday. Endi
