At least 10 people were killed and 25 others injured in a road mishap in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand Monday, a senior police official said.

"The mishap happened when a bus in which the victims were travelling plunged into a gorge along the Garhwa-Ambikapur road in the morning," he said, on condition of anonymity.

While 10 people died on the spot, those injured have been admitted to a local hospital where the condition of some are said to be serious, the official said.

A probe has been ordered into the incident, he added. Endi
