Tokyo stocks rise 0.53 pct in morning on Wall St. gains

Tokyo stocks rose 0.53 percent in the morning session of Monday bolstered by gains on Wall Street last week.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 101.58 points, from Friday to 19,387.21.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 1.30 points, or 0.08 percent, to 1,554. 08.

Gainers were led by industry group, food, retail and air transport issues. Endi
