European Council President Donald Tusk and the High Representative and Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini will visit Tunisia on March 31, with an aim to address issues of regional stability, illegal migration and terrorist threats, an official statement said on Sunday.

"The EU is more determined than ever to strengthen its cooperation with Tunisia to deal with this terrorist threat and to further strengthen our relationship for the benefit of our peoples on both sides of the Mediterranean. " Tusk said in the statement.

He added that at the same time, "we must all tackle the roots of regional instability and its consequences such as illegal migration and terrorism."

On March 18, two armed men, claiming to have links with the Islamic State (IS), stormed Bardo museum in the Tunisian capital and killed 22 people, most of them were foreign tourists from Japan, Italy, France, Spain, Colombia and Poland. Endit
