Saudi Arabia evacuates diplomats from Yemen's Aden

Xinhua, March 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

Saudi navy forces have evacuated dozens of Saudi and foreign diplomats from Yemen's main southern city Aden, Al Arabiya News reported on Saturday.

They reached Saudi Arabia after being evacuated in two Saudi naval vessels, the report said.

The evacuation came after a coalition of 10 countries led by Saudi Arabia started air raids against Houthi targets in Yemen.

On Friday, the Saudi-led Arab forces carried out a third day of airstrikes which were repelled by intensified anti-aircraft gunfire of the Shiite Houthi group that controls Sanaa. Endit
