Vietnamese PM to attend Lee Kuan Yew's memorial ceremony in Singapore

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will attend a memorial ceremony held for Singapore's former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew on March 29 in Singapore, on the behalf of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese state and government, a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said here on Friday.

Earlier on Monday, Dung signed the condolence book for the late former Singapore prime minister at the Singapore Embassy in Vietnam, writing that Vietnamese people always keep in mind the valuable assistance offered by Lee Kuan Yew to Vietnam.

Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore's founding father, served as the country's prime minister from 1959 to 1990. He passed away on early Monday at the age of 91. Endi
